SSA Chandigarh TGT Exam Pattern:-

  • There will be two part of exam part A and part B.
  • The exam contain multiple choice objective type questions.
  • There will be total no. of questions 150
  • There will be total  marks : 150
  • The total duration of exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Negative marking will be applicable and deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong answer.
  • The qualifying marks will be 40%

Note:

  1. Minimum qualifying marks for each part (Part-A and Part-B separately) will be 40%.
  2. Negative marking will be applicable and deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong answer.
  3. Questions in the test for Part-B will be based on the relevant subject and the difficulty standard will be as per qualification mentioned in advertisement. Detailed topics/syllabus will be uploaded on the website before notification of schedule for the written test.
  4. For the post of TGT (Science Non Medical), TGT (Science Medical) and TGT (Social Science) bifurcation/division of 100 questions under part B will be as under:-TGT (Science Non Medical): Physics-33, Chemistry-33, and Mathematics-34.TGT (Science Medical) : Botany-33, Zoology-33, and Chemistry- 34.TGT (Social Science): Political Science-25,Economics-25, History-25, Geography-25
  5. Examination questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the Language papers which would be in the concerned Language only. However, paper will be set in English and Punjabi language also for those candidates who will submit their option for Punjabi medium at the time of filling up of application Form.

SSA Chandigarh TGT Teacher Selection Procedure:

  1. All the candidates who will submit ONLINE application along with requisite fees on or before the closing date will be issued admit card to appear in the written exam without checking the eligibility conditions.
  2. After the conduct of written test, answer key will be uploaded on website as per schedule for submission of objections by the candidates.
  3. Marks obtained by the candidates in written test will be uploaded on the website.
  4. In case two or more candidates are having same marks in written test then a candidate having higher marks in B.Ed will rank higher in the merit. Even then if two candidates are at same rank, the candidate older in age will rank higher in merit.
  5. Merit list prepared on the basis of marks in written test will be uploaded on the website and on the basis of said merit; candidates will be called for scrutiny of original document and checking of eligibility conditions. (to be read along with point VI)
  6. Candidates to be called for scrutiny of original documents under each category will be 3 times (three times) the number of posts under each category.
  7. List of selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Objective Type Test (Part-A & Part-B).
  8. Merit list for selection will be released after checking of eligibility conditions and ICT skill training certificates.
